The Top coat colour (powder) is only a decorative finish and does not offer any anti corrosive properties. 

Correct pre-treatment and or priming is required.   
 

                      Previously powder coated items can be re-coated how ever it is not recommended. No warranties can be offered on re-coated items.
            

Once a powder coated item is damaged, i.e drilled, cut, modified or touched up no warranties will be applicable on or around the affected area. 

        Hot Dip Galvanize is a finished product. Southside Powder Coaters is not liable for the finish of galvanized items or in the event of out-gassing of a hot dip galvanized item. Although all care is taken in the preparation and application this is a unavoidable characteristic of hot dip galvanize. As such Southside Powder Coaters offer no warranties against corrosion, de-lamination or surface finish on powder coated hot dip galvanized items. 

Cast components that require sandblasting and or powder coating may break due to poor quality casting or metal fatigue. Cast components also occasionally out-gas, this is unavoidable due to impurities in the casting.  All sandblasting is done with the utmost care but due to the blast pressure sometimes this along with distortion is unavoidable.     

Over time with exposure to the elements, Powder Coatings may show signs of weathering such as loss of gloss , chalking and slight colour change. A simple regular clean will minimize the effects of weathering and will remove dirt, grime and other build up detrimental to all powder coatings. Sheltered areas can be more at risk of coating degradation than exposed areas. This is because wind-blown salt and other pollutants may adhere to the surface and will not be cleaned away with rainfall. these areas should be inspected and cleaned if necessary on a more regular basis. Cleaning should be carried out on a 6 monthly basis but in more extreme coastal environments it should be cleaned every 3 months as per Interpon care and maintenance brochure.
